Dad's Birthday 2014

First card of the 2014 Year! Hubby's Dad's birthday. He is a tough guy, worked in construction all is life, has a bad ass truck and takes care of it. I made him a tuck card for his birthday. Used the Cricut. The outside is a black slightly textured card stock. The inside is a pale blue paper with white and black lines, like a grid. We were already out by the time I remembered to take a picture, sorry for the quality.

Christmas 2013

Its taken awhile, and I completely forgot to post up my Christmas cards for 2013. I got a lot of card making supplies for Christmas. A Cricut, a Big Shot, lots of stickers and paper, wafer dies, stamps, punches. I had a lot to work with. Thanks to the hubby for supplying into my card making addiction!!

Grandfather's Birthday 2014

He is my hubby's grandfather, but the only one I have. He lives about an hour away from us, so we went down to see him for his birthday. I started a card thinking I was going to have a themed card other than a birthday. He is into NASCAR, but Dad's card in Jan, was a truck, so I didn't want to use the same die cut. But all in all I think this turned out nice. I was in a hurry to make it, made at the last minute. The banners and scalloped circle are cut from the Cricut. The "POP" was stickers and the Epiphany 25 punch. If you have a chance to buy this punch, do it. It is so much fun what epoxy stickers you can make from it.

Condolences 2014

My hubby has a co-worker that his mother passed away. He works in a small company, so everyone talk to everyone about everything. He asked on a day off, if I could make and send him and his family a card. I used the Cricut for the cross and some of the flowers. The other patterned flowers are form a flower punch out book I got for Christmas. It is a little "eastery" I think, but still pretty.

Boss' Birthday 2013

I'm trying to post up some of the older cards I have made this year. I, like usual, forget to add them to my blog when I make them. Luckily I always take a pic of them before sending the off or giving them away. This is a birthday card for my boss. I make them for everyone in the office (when I remember). She is an older lady and do not know much about her, so I went basic with pretty and flowers. I got these flowers from the dollar store! You get a bunch for super cheap and I use them a lot in cards. The leaf and swirl is from a stock pile of Cricut cuts I borrowed from my sister-in-law. I like the look of the two tone card. Sometimes I can make it work and sometimes I don't have matching paper. But this worked!

Sister- In-Laws Birthday 2013

I like the look of the separate little boxes with pictures in them. To me they look "mathematically" correct. The even number of boxes. Even though design wise it always supposed to be in 3's. But this is simple and fun. Works with anything as well. If you check a few posts back, you can see I did the same design for Christmas cards. The purple squares are actually embossed, but I had to emboss it by hand, so might not show up very well. A white ink stamp was used on the edges of the purple squares to make them pop. They are also attached with a foam piece, so it has a 3D effect.I used a template to get the folder tab. It actually is a separate piece of paper that is on the top inside for space for a gift card. The green paper is lightly stamped with white ink and a swirl design for a little extra depth. Over all, a fun card.

Cousin Birthday

I got a Facebook message asking to make a card form one of my cousins to her sister (my other cousin). I just made something real quick. Its not my usual style, but ended up being so cute. It's rare for me to be sad that I'm sending away a card, but this one is so cute. I'll have to make another. The flower is just one from the dollar store. The rabbit cut from a Cricut. The red stamping in the background from acrylic stamp.
